MotorPulse Pty Ltd (ABN: 75 691 920 760) (“MotorPulse”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

Last updated: 9 August 2026

MotorPulse provides mobile, on-car DPF cleaning and diesel diagnostic services across Perth and Sydney. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use our website (motorpulse.com.au), book a job with us, or otherwise deal with us.

While MotorPulse currently falls under the small business turnover threshold in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its exemptions, we’ve adopted this policy voluntarily as good practice, and to comply with the requirements of third-party platforms we use (such as Google, Meta, and our payment processor). We intend to review this policy as our business grows or as privacy law changes.

1. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address, service address
  • Vehicle information — make, model, registration, VIN, and diagnostic/fault data relevant to the job
  • Payment information — processed via Square; we do not directly store full card numbers
  • Job and booking history — via Jobber, including quotes, job notes, photos taken during service, and invoices
  • Accounting records — via Xero, for invoicing and financial record-keeping
  • Website usage data — such as pages visited and general location, if you use our website [and if applicable: via Google Analytics / Google Ads / Meta Pixel]
  • Communications — anything you send us by phone, email, SMS, or through the website contact/booking form

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • Book a service through our website, by phone, or by SMS
  • Speak with us on-site during a job
  • Make a payment
  • Contact us with an enquiry or complaint

We may also receive information automatically through the tools we use to run bookings, payments, and marketing (Jobber, Square, Xero, and, if applicable, Google/Meta advertising and analytics tools).

3. Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

  • Quote, schedule, and carry out DPF cleaning and diagnostic services
  • Process payments and issue invoices/receipts
  • Communicate with you about bookings, follow-ups, or job status (including SMS/email updates)
  • Maintain accurate business and tax records
  • Improve our services and, where you’ve consented, send you offers or updates
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations

We don’t sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information with the service providers that run our business operations, including:

  • Jobber (job/booking management)
  • Square (payment processing)
  • Xero (accounting)
  • Google (Analytics and Ads, for website usage and advertising)
  • Our accountant, bookkeeper, or legal advisors where relevant
  • Regulatory or government bodies where required by law (e.g. the ATO)

These providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where that’s the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy.

5. Data storage and security

Your information is stored electronically within the platforms listed above, each of which maintains its own security measures. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access — for example, by restricting account access and using reputable, mainstream platforms rather than storing sensitive data ourselves outside these systems.

6. Access, correction, and complaints

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at [email protected]. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with us directly, or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

7. Cookies and website tracking

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand site usage and show relevant advertising, including remarketing to people who’ve previously visited our site. These tools may use cookies to collect information such as pages viewed and general location. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalised Google advertising via Google’s Ads Settings.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as our business grows or privacy laws change. The current version will always be available on our website.
